Development News From Southwest IndianaDeaconess Riley Ribbon CuttingEVANSVILLE, IN – Deaconess Riley Children’s Services will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in partnership with Riley Hospital for Children on Tuesday, January 31 at the new Deaconess Gateway Hospital Pediatric Unit. The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on the fourth floor unit. Administrators from Riley Hospital for Children will be in attendance including Dr. Ora Pescovitz, president & CEO of Riley Hospital for Children; Dr. Richard Schreiner, chief medical officer at Riley Hospital for Children; Dr. Howard Eigen, associate chairman, Department of Pediatrics and director of Pediatric ICU; Dan Fink, COO, Riley Hospital for Children; Jon Mills, Clarian Marketing Department; and Dr. Steve Ivy, Values, Ethics, Social Responsibility and Pastoral Services for Clarian Health. Riley Hospital for Children, Deaconess Hospital and Riley Children’s Specialists announced a long-term, exclusive partnership in July 2004 that would enhance the level of pediatric specialty care and complement the children’s primary care services currently available in the Tri-State. The new partnership brought together innovative technologies and service excellence from numerous pediatric specialties to deliver compassionate, family-centered patient care.
