Accuride stock added to Russell 2000 index

July 11, 2005, Evansville-based Accuride Corp. announced its stock has been added to the Russell 2000 index.

The index is one of 21 measures used by the Russell investment group to measure movements in the stock of U.S. companies. More than $2.5 trillion in assets are benchmarked to the Russell indexes, including about $450 billion in index funds that use the Russell measures as a model.

All Russell indexes are subsets of the Russell 3000, which represents about 98 percent of the U.S. equity market.

"We believe our inclusion by Russell is a further step of the continuing recognition of Accuride by the investment community following its recent IPO," said Terry Keating, Accuride's president and chief executive.

On April 26, the company offered 11 million shares of common stock at $9 per share.

Accuride (NYSE:ACW) is a manufacturer and supplier of commercial vehicle components. The company's products include wheels, truck body and chassis parts and seating assemblies. The products are marketed under the Gunite, Imperial, Bostrom, Fabco and Brillion brand names.
