Southern Indiana Economic Development Leader Resigns

The executive director of Vision-e has resigned to accept a job with the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet.
Ken Robinson played a key role in attracting Toyota, Accuride Headquarters and Azteca Corn Milling to the area. Vision-e's Deputy Director Jim Holderread will assume day to day operational responsibilities until a permanent replacement is appointed.

On Friday, September 30, of Vision-e, submitted his resignation to assume a position with the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet.
Joe Theby, Chairman of the Board, stated Although we regret losing his services, we are pleased for Ken to achieve this position and new responsibilities. Ken has had a noteworthy career with Vision-e. Through his tenure beginning in 1990 Ken was a key person in the process of attracting Toyota, Accuride Headquarters, Graham Packaging, Azteca Corn Milling, United Components and numerous other valuable companies to our community. In addition Ken initiated the Tochigi City Japan sister city program and was the driving force in the establishment of the Certified Technology Park in downtown Evansville. He will be missed and we wish him the best of good fortune in his new position.
Ken will continue his position with Vision-e until October 21.
The Board of Directors will be forming a search committee to begin the process of recruiting a replacement. Jim Holderread, Deputy Director of Vision-e, will assume day to day operational responsibilities until a permanent replacement is appointed. Jim has been with Vision-e for 8 years, following 2 years as Director of Economic Development in Warrick County.
