Evansville, IN-Henderson, KY MSA makes "Overall Top 50" in Business Development Outlooks "Quality of Life Report 2006"
Business Development Outlook, a bi-monthly magazine for corporate real estate executives, features Quality of Life in the September/October 2006 issue. Metropolitan areas are ranked in ten categories including: Economy, Transportation, Recreation, Climate, Health, Housing, Safety, Education, Arts and Overall Quality of Life.
The Evansville, IN/Henderson, KY MSA was ranked 47 in the Overall Top 50. According to the article "The overall quality of life category holds the cities that one might expect to be on the list. However, the order in which they have been placed might be a surprise. Ultimately, what people want is to live life happily. People also want good housing, safe streets and a thriving economy. Few cities can boast that they "have it all." But a few can, and each have been ranked."
The article goes on to say, "In any case, it cant be said enough: the happier people are the more productive they are. Any organization located in these top 50 cities will easily identify and recruit great employees. They will also allow transferring employees to maintain or improve quality of life."
