Air

Shipping hubs for FedEx (Indianapolis) and UPS (Louisville) are within easy reach for air shipment. For personal transportation, the Evansville Regional Airport provides daily flights to many major U.S. cities, and the Indianapolis International Airport has a growing roster of flights abroad – including non-stop to Paris. In addition, several regional airports located in Paoli, French Lick, Huntingburg, Tell City and the Mid-American Air Center, Lawrenceville-Vincennes Airport serve business and individuals in the region.

Interstate

Southwest Indiana is located with easy access to both the I-64 and I-69 corridors, allowing for easy movement of people and goods across the country.  Our nine county region is within a day’s drive to over 75% of the United States. 

Water

Southwest Indiana is close to two Ohio River ports, the Tell City River Port and Port of Indiana – Mount Vernon, connecting your business to the Ohio-Mississippi River network.  Easy access via I-69 allows easy transport of goods to Lake Michigan’s ports, allowing for access to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond.

Rail

Norfolk Southern operates in several counties in the region, including the Southwest Indiana Megasite and the Huntingburg Yard (which connects to Dubois County Railroad and Hoosier Southern Railroad). CSX operates throughout the region, with a major connection in Vincennes, connecting businesses with the larger railroad network. Railroads connect the region to locations throughout in the continental United States and Canada, allowing for cost-effective and rapid transit of goods.
