SOUTHWEST, INDIANA – Southwest Development Council (SWIDC) was a proud sponsor of the Powering Champions Event with the Indiana Power Partnership leading to the Fall Site Selectors Guild in Indianapolis on September 30, 2025.  It was a high-energy event to share all the great work southwest Indiana is doing.  This event was a great venue to connect and strengthen relationships with site selectors across the country to bring business attraction opportunities to the SWIDC region. Chris Pfaff, CEO of Knox County Economic Development stated, “The Powering Champions event underscored why Southwest Indiana is a region on the rise.  By connecting with site selectors from across the country, we are showcasing the clear advantages of our ten-county region—interstates, rail, fiber, and utilities already in place – ready for business attraction and expansion.  This momentum positions SWIDC to compete nationally and deliver transformative investment opportunities for our communities.”

The SWIDC region includes 10 counties across the I-69 and I-64 corridors.  The region is filled with investment opportunities with site locations with access to electric, gas, water, wastewater, fiber, and rail connectivity.  This event kicks off the Site Selectors Guild that will be held October 1-3, 2025.
