In presenting the award, the Board specifically highlighted PCDC’s unique “openness, responsiveness, and their sincere investment in our community’s success” as key drivers of their impactful work.

“We are honored to receive this award. This recognition highlights a truth we see every day: investing in our workforce is the foundation of economic development. We are proud to share this award with the local businesses and partners who make this work possible, because by investing in the apprenticeships and skills training that strengthen our people and our employers alike, we are preparing our entire community for long-term success,” said Erin Emerson, President and CEO of PCDC, who accepted the award alongside Workforce Development Specialist Whitney Zellers.

The recognition comes as PCDC continues to spearhead initiatives in business attraction, retention, and expansion. By focusing on the critical link between a skilled workforce and sustainable economic health, the organization has proven to be an essential partner in the region’s growth.
